Biology

Torterra has a huge flat shell reminiscent of Ankylosaurus. The outline of this shell is white and, in correspondence of the head, widens in the shape of diamond. Torterra carries on its shell a huge tree and three small mountains; in this way you have the impression of looking at a landscape in the distance. The Torterra body is very large, so they seem out of proportion to the shell. In fact, he can not retreat into his shell as he could do Turtwig; despite what the shell provides him with adequate protection. The main colors of the body are dull green on the back and on the head and brown on the legs and belly. Furthermore, the back is traversed by numerous transverse lines. Protrude from the head two big gray thorns that make him look even more like the Ankylosaurus. The Torterra eyes are intimidating: red pupils surrounded by blacks rings. The mouth is jagged and muzzle there is a dark brown beak. Torterra has the powerful legs in order to best support the weight of the whole body and on each leg there are three fingers resembling small rough stones.

The shell of Torterra is the basis of its classification as Pokémon Continent, not only due to the shell but also to the considerable size of the body. Nevertheless, Torterra is a peaceful Pokémon that lives in harmony with the other Pokémon. For most of his time sleeping and resting on the ground seems to be part of the same ground. So sometimes some Pokémon builds its nest on Torterra that either does not notice or even protects him. A Torterra moves only when it is in search of fresh water sources and when that happens it seems that it moves an entire forest. Torterra is the Starter Pokémon Starter Pokémon heavier and higher only after Feraligatr.

physiognomy

With evolution, the two bushes on the back of Grotle gather in a small tree similar to a bonsai and appear on the shell three mountains in miniature.

Differences between the sexes

None.

Special abilities

The tree on the Torterra back is crucial, since the allows you to use the most powerful Grass-type move, Frenzy, without equal in terms of power. Thanks to its powerful legs and the double type, Torterra is able to disrupt the activities of the earth causing powerful earthquakes as Earthquake and Earth Power capable of severely damaging all the Pokémon that surround it. Torterra also compensates for his lack of speed with the huge defense that the strong housing and gives him and that ensures, therefore, a difficult loss of energy after an attack once that still can recover with Giga Drain move that uses prolonging and wrapping the enemy with mountains on the back. Its enormous tonnage also enables it to perform devastating effect on enemy positions, in particular with the use of Wood Hammer and splitter.

Behavior

Torterra is a Pokémon that tends to be non-violent. Calm and patient, does not move even if a nest Pokémon on its back.

Habitat

Torterra lives in dense forests near fresh water lakes.
